Le Mc Kinley

Appartment rental in a Chalet

 La Rosière 1850

 Ski, Snow and Sun

We are offering furnished, non catered appartements to rent on a weekly basis in the chalet Le McKinley, located precisely at the very bottom of the slopes and skilift departure in la Rosière. All appartments were rated "3* Meublés de Tourisme" by the state organization in charge of this rating.

In less than 50 meters around the McKinley - and thanks to its outstanding location - you will get to the kids snow park (games and ski learning area for the little one), ski lessons departure areas and skilift departure. The surroundings of the chalet offer open space, wide view on the valley and moutains around (with a fine weather, you can see Tignes Val d'Isères, Les Arcs, La Plagnes and the 3 valleys ski resorts) and receive plenty of sun thanks to the south orientation. Shops and town center are within 5 minutes walking distance.

On the ground floor of the chalet, you will find a bar and a restaurant, opened during the day but quiet in the evening (no service or reduced activity after 10 pm). During the day, when the weather is fine, skiers and non skiers gathers on the terrasses around le McKinley for a drink or a sunbath. Amongs others animations available close to the chalet are the slidding park and a kids fun parks.

About quietness: Appartments generally are very quiet and a perfect place for families. At the end of the afternoon, the crowd on the terraces leave and the place becomes quiet, except sometime for a few group of teenagers having fun at the slidding park - that you won't hear from the appartment. The bar will close at 10 pm. Days with a bright, sunny afternoon might be very lively with people gathering on the terrace, especially during french school holidays. If you are sensitive to noise, you might hear on such afternoon, the level of noise you can expect on a lively place with musical background. This will be true only for appartments overlooking the terrasse, and when leaving windows opened. In short, we are confident that noise will not be an issue for a majority of our guests and we very rarelly get negative feedback on that subject.

The resort of la Rosière is connected to the Italian Resort of La Thuile with chairlifts. Is is possible for well trained skiers to get to the Italian side and return to France during the day. However, mark that the road is closed in winter, so there is no easy way to return to the french side after chairlift closing time.

Proximity of the Italian border provides opportunity for Hélicopter drops from France and return by ski to the French side - , and other extrem sports such as snow kite or paraglidding.
